We're asked lots of questions ranging from our produce, delivery, to our recipe’s. To try and make things easier for you, we’ve included a whole host of Frequently Asked Questions below. If you can’t find what you’re looking for below or would prefer to talk to someone directly, please do give us a ring or send us an email! We’re always happy to help and answer any questions. 

ORDERING 

Q. Am I tied into a contract? What if I'm going on holiday? 

No contracts here! You can receive your box as regularly as you wish, whether this is weekly or fortnightly or as and when you need it. We recommend automating your boxes to save on delivery charge, but if you’re going on holiday just let us know in advance and we’ll put a hold on your box and ensure we start delivery again once you’re back. 

Q. Is there a minimum order value and delivery charge? 

Our minimum order amount is £11. Our delivery charge is always 99p per order no matter which box you order or if you make your own. You can save on delivery if you sign up to our automated service and order a regular box. 

Q. Can I amend an order once I’ve placed it? 

Yes of course! As long as you contact us by midday the day before your delivery date, you can make changes to your order. 

Q. Is there a deadline for placing an order? 

Yes. Please place your order by midday the working day before we are due in your delivery area. For example: 
 
Delivery day is Monday – please order by 12 midday on Friday 
Delivery day is Wednesday - please order by 12 midday on Tuesday 

Q. Will I get an order confirmation? 

Yes. Once you have placed your order via the website, an email confirmation will be sent to you which confirms your order number. 

Q. Do I have to place an order every week? 

No, we are flexible, you are not tied into a contract, so you are welcome to order as and when you require. If you would like a regular box delivery, you can sign up to our automated service. This means that we will automatically deliver your box to you regularly without the need for you to go online and order. You can also save on the delivery charge by automating your delivery. 

DELIVERY & PAYMENTS 

Q. Can I choose my delivery day and time? 

Your delivery day and time depends on where you live. We visit some areas once per week and others 2-3 times per week. Check out our delivery page to see when we’re in your area! To minimise food miles on the road we plan our deliveries economically meaning we are unable to provide a specific time slot, but don’t forget there is no need to be home for the delivery, we’ll leave your produce in a safe place for you. 

Q. When will you be delivering in my area? 

We are a family run business making deliveries in a wide variety of locations from our base in Southill, Biggleswade. You can visit our delivery page to see all our delivery areas. If you’re area isn’t listed, please do get in touch! We are always reviewing our delivery areas and would love to hear from you. 

Q. Is there a delivery charge? 

Yes, each delivery is charged at 99p per order. If you sign up to our automated service you can save on delivery charges and we’ll deliver your box every week or fortnight. 

Q. How do I pay? 

When ordering online via our online shop, you will be prompted to pay when placing your order. If you create an account, your payment details will be saved and can be used for future orders. 

Q. Do I have to be home to receive my delivery? 

No, you do not need to be home for your delivery. So that our service is as convenient for you as possible, you can leave delivery instructions when you order, and our drivers will ensure your box is left where you ask it to be. 

BOX INFORMATION AND PRODUCE 

Q. Can I choose what comes in my fruit and veg box? 

All of our boxes are produced with the seasons in mind so each week you’ll get a variety of fresh produce to use. However, you can tell us your ‘likes’, ‘dislikes’ and ‘must have’ items to ensure your box has everything you enjoy. 

Q. Do I have to order a standard box? 

No, there are lots of different fruit and veg boxes to choose from which contain a variety of fresh seasonal produce. However, you can also build your own box and select items from our online shop just as you would in the supermarket. The only thing to remember is the minimum order amount of £11. 

Q. What if something is missing from my order? 

Very occasionally we make changes to the box contents because of the weather or availability of certain items. If an item you were expecting in your box is missing, please contact us and we will ensure it is provided free of charge with your next delivery. 

Q. Is all the produce locally sourced? 

All our produce is seasonal and where possible supplied to us by local growers. Due to the variety of produce we provide, unfortunately it isn’t possible to supply all items locally. 

Q. What box is best for me? 

Our boxes offer a large selection of fresh fruit and veg and everyone is different, but as a guide we recommend: 
 
Double Box = Approx. 10 varieties of fruit, veg and salad to last 1-2 people a week 
Family Box = Approx. 14-16 varieties of fruit, veg and salad to last 3-4 people a week 
The Works Box = Approx. 20 varieties of fruit, veg and salad to last 5+ people a week 
 
Don’t forget, you can let us know your likes, dislikes and musthave items and we will ensure these are taken care of in your box. 

Q. Is your produce organic? 

Our produce is locally grown and we fully support our local growers in the area. This means that the produce isn’t organic. However, all our produce is grown locally and seasonal. We aim to provide the most nutritious and best quality fruit and veg to you every week. 

PACKAGING 

Q. What packaging is included with the box? 

We are proud to be plastic free – all our boxes are delivered in a fully recyclable/re-useable box and the produce is provided loose or in recyclable paper bags. All packaging is kept to an absolute minimum and where packaging is used, it is fully recyclable. 

Q. Are you plastic free? 

Yes, absolutely! We are very proud to be completely plastic free and ensure all our packaging is kept to a minimum. We also partner with some fantastic local companies who also offer a plastic free approach.
